Frequently asked questions
What is Cook-Kind
Cook-Kind is a clothing brand made for people who love to cook. Professional chef, line cook, pitmaster, baker, galley cook, food-truck warrior, or home cook—if food is your thing, you're one of us.
Why the name Cook-Kind?
Because cooking doesn't belong to one kind of person. Kitchens may look different and skills may come from different places, but we're all part of the same Cook-Kind.
Do I have to be a professional chef to wear Cook-Kind?
Absolutely not. A culinary degree isn't your admission ticket. If you love making food, experimenting in the kitchen, tending a smoker, baking bread, or feeding the people around you, you belong here.
Who is Cook-Kind made for?
For cooks of every kind. Culinary-trained chefs. Line cooks. Pitmasters. Bakers. Yacht and galley chefs. Food-truck cooks. Backyard grill masters. Home cooks. And everyone in between.
What makes Cook-Kind different?
We're not interested in putting another generic “Kiss the Cook” shirt into the world. Cook-Kind is about original designs, inside jokes, kitchen culture, and clothing that cooks would actually want to wear.
Where do the designs come from?
From real cooking, kitchen humor, culinary culture, questionable ideas around food, and those moments every cook recognizes immediately. If you've ever yelled “BEHIND!” in your own kitchen, you'll probably understand us.
Why are the shirts soft and weathered instead of heavy graphic tees?
Because we want these to become the shirts you actually reach for. Cook-Kind designs are built around comfortable fabrics, wearable graphics, limited colors, and a broken-in look rather than stiff novelty shirts.
What does “For Cooks of Every Kind” mean?
Exactly what it says. Cooking can happen in a Michelin-starred kitchen, on a yacht, behind a smoker, in a bakery, over a campfire, or in somebody's kitchen at home. Different kitchens. Different skills. One Cook-Kind.
Are Cook-Kind products made to order?
Yes. Our products are produced when they're ordered rather than sitting in a warehouse waiting for someone to buy them. It allows us to keep creating new designs without filling shelves with unnecessary inventory.
What's next for Cook-Kind?
More shirts. More hats. More bad kitchen decisions turned into clothing. We're just getting started, and Cook-Kind will keep growing right alongside the people who wear it.
